31 Arrests in and Arouond Charlotte, 120 Video Poker Machines Seized and 50 Destroyed!
For four months now investigations have been made with regard to video poker operators in Charlotte and the counties around it. 31 arrests have been made so far. As per reports 120 poker machines have been confiscated. These machines were being operated illegally. The payouts made amount to $156,000. Almost 50 machines were destroyed on Thursday. This was done as per a court directive. Video poker machines are legal in North Carolina. However, a license is a must. Charlotte.com reports:
Video poker machines are legal in North Carolina, if properly licensed, but cash payouts are not. State law limits winnings to $10 in store merchandise.
