In all there are 2,598,960 hands that can be dealt in video poker. As per probability, a player can get a royal flush once in 40,000 hands. A straight flush can be got in 9000 hands. This means that there is a 63% chance of getting at least one royal flush. There is a 27% chance of getting two royal flushes, in the 40,000 hands. Typically, getting to 40,000 hands takes 80 hours of play. These 80 hours may stretch to two weeks or two months, depending upon play time for the sessions. One can identify video poker machines from their names and payout schedules. Play takes place in the same way, in all machines, but the payout schedules differ. It is but natural that you will and should play on the video poker machine that gives the highest payouts.
